Narrative:
Cleared visual approach to runway 18R at mco but told to remain above 2500 ft until the VOR. First officer flying the aircraft did not hear the altitude restr and consequently intercepted ILS GS. This resulted in crossing the VOR below 2500 ft. Climbed back up to altitude after deviation noted. Restr makes for a very steep approach.

Title: ALT RESTR ON VISUAL APCH NOT HEARD BY FLYING FO AND DSNDED BELOW IT. CAPT CAUGHT THE DSCNT AND THEY RETURNED TO ASSIGNED XING ALT.
Narrative: CLRED VISUAL APCH TO RWY 18R AT MCO BUT TOLD TO REMAIN ABOVE 2500 FT UNTIL THE VOR. FO FLYING THE ACFT DID NOT HEAR THE ALT RESTR AND CONSEQUENTLY INTERCEPTED ILS GS. THIS RESULTED IN XING THE VOR BELOW 2500 FT. CLBED BACK UP TO ALT AFTER DEV NOTED. RESTR MAKES FOR A VERY STEEP APCH.
