Narrative:
While taxiing to our gate captain taxied in a non-movement area in front of the fire house at bwi. I (first officer) was performing my after landing checklist and did not notice that we were no longer taxiing on a yellow line until I noticed the fire house out the side of my window. After applying the brakes to stop the aircraft we discussed doing a 180 degree turn and exiting this area.
