Narrative:
After landing on runway 9R at mia, both left main gear tires were blown as we exited on the high speed taxiway. Mia tower observed smoke and dispatched fire control equipment. Fire was suspected, so passenger were evacuate/evacuationed through aft right emergency escape slide and aft airstairs. It was later determined that no fire occurred. I suspect locked brakes in conjunction with an inoperative anti-skid system caused the problem. In retrospect, little could have been done to prevent the occurrence. The inoperative anti-skid system may have been a contributing factor. Therefore, refusal to accept the airplane with this component inoperative may have prevented the incident.

Title: LGT ON LNDG BLOWS L MAIN GEAR TIRES. TWR OBSERVED SMOKE, CALLED FOR CRASH FIRE RESCUE. ACFT EVACED.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 9R AT MIA, BOTH L MAIN GEAR TIRES WERE BLOWN AS WE EXITED ON THE HIGH SPD TXWY. MIA TWR OBSERVED SMOKE AND DISPATCHED FIRE CTL EQUIP. FIRE WAS SUSPECTED, SO PAX WERE EVACED THROUGH AFT R EMER ESCAPE SLIDE AND AFT AIRSTAIRS. IT WAS LATER DETERMINED THAT NO FIRE OCCURRED. I SUSPECT LOCKED BRAKES IN CONJUNCTION WITH AN INOP ANTI-SKID SYS CAUSED THE PROB. IN RETROSPECT, LITTLE COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO PREVENT THE OCCURRENCE. THE INOP ANTI-SKID SYS MAY HAVE BEEN A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. THEREFORE, REFUSAL TO ACCEPT THE AIRPLANE WITH THIS COMPONENT INOP MAY HAVE PREVENTED THE INCIDENT.
