Narrative:

I have done 3 gdl all-nighters this month arriving gdl sunday morning. Twice gdl approach has cleared me direct to the gdl VOR for the teila arrival. We then go back and forth several times with my asking if I am to go direct to the gdl VOR or if I am to go to the teila fix and fly the teila arrival, with gdl approach responding in the affirmative, that I am cleared to the gdl VOR for the teila arrival. As tensions on both sides escalate, eventually gdl approach gets frustrated and gives me a heading to join the localizer. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Gdl approach telling me to go direct to the VOR and to also fly the teila arrival is like telling me to go up and down at the same time. Fortunately the WX has been great all month and this lack of communication has just been an annoyance, as has gdl approach's inquiries as to whether I was even aware of the teila arrival and if I had it on board. However, considering the hills around gdl I felt the need to report this situation before it became a more serious problem.

Title: ARR INTO GDL, MEXICO, ON UJ27. APCH CTLR CLRED ACFT DIRECT GDL FOR THE TEILA ARR. RPTR WANTS TO KNOW WHY HE CAN'T GO DIRECT TEILA FOR THE ARR. THAT INVOLVES CHANGING AIRWAYS AND MAY CAUSE CONFLICTS OF WHICH HE IS UNAWARE.

Narrative: I HAVE DONE 3 GDL ALL-NIGHTERS THIS MONTH ARRIVING GDL SUNDAY MORNING. TWICE GDL APCH HAS CLRED ME DIRECT TO THE GDL VOR FOR THE TEILA ARR. WE THEN GO BACK AND FORTH SEVERAL TIMES WITH MY ASKING IF I AM TO GO DIRECT TO THE GDL VOR OR IF I AM TO GO TO THE TEILA FIX AND FLY THE TEILA ARR, WITH GDL APCH RESPONDING IN THE AFFIRMATIVE, THAT I AM CLRED TO THE GDL VOR FOR THE TEILA ARR. HOWEVER, CONSIDERING THE HILLS AROUND GDL I FELT THE NEED TO RPT THIS SIT BEFORE IT BECAME A MORE SERIOUS PROB.
