Narrative:

In cruise flight, annunciator indications of loss of right hydraulic system pressure illuminated. A check of the pressure and quantity gauges confirmed that the right hydraulic quantity gauge indicated virtually no fluid in the system and the pressure gauge read 0 psi. The left hydraulic system remained normal, as did both hydraulic brake reservoirs. Normal flight controls are not hydraulic pwred (with the exception of rudder augmentation), so the aircraft was operating normally. After a radio conversation with our dispatcher and consultation with maintenance control, we were informed that a 15 percent degradation in nosewheel steering was the only negative impact we would experience. All pertinent checklists were accomplished and I made the decision to continue the flight to the destination airport (dtw).

Title: LOSS OF R HYD SYS PRESSURE AND FLUID. FLT CONTINUED BECAUSE THE L SYS WAS NORMAL AND ONLY DETRIMENTAL EFFECT WAS LACK OF RUDDER AUGMENTATION AND REDUCED NOSEWHEEL STEERING CAPABILITY.

Narrative: IN CRUISE FLT, ANNUNCIATOR INDICATIONS OF LOSS OF R HYD SYS PRESSURE ILLUMINATED. A CHK OF THE PRESSURE AND QUANTITY GAUGES CONFIRMED THAT THE R HYD QUANTITY GAUGE INDICATED VIRTUALLY NO FLUID IN THE SYS AND THE PRESSURE GAUGE READ 0 PSI. THE L HYD SYS REMAINED NORMAL, AS DID BOTH HYD BRAKE RESERVOIRS. NORMAL FLT CTLS ARE NOT HYD PWRED (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF RUDDER AUGMENTATION), SO THE ACFT WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. AFTER A RADIO CONVERSATION WITH OUR DISPATCHER AND CONSULTATION WITH MAINT CTL, WE WERE INFORMED THAT A 15 PERCENT DEGRADATION IN NOSEWHEEL STEERING WAS THE ONLY NEGATIVE IMPACT WE WOULD EXPERIENCE. ALL PERTINENT CHKLISTS WERE ACCOMPLISHED AND I MADE THE DECISION TO CONTINUE THE FLT TO THE DEST ARPT (DTW).
