Narrative:

Upon rotation we experienced strong vibration and air pressure fluctuations. The captain elected to return for landing. While I performed the required checklist items and communicated with las tower, the captain extended the gear and prepared the aircraft for a safe landing on runway 19L. After touchdown and rollout, our first indication of a door problem occurred when a member of the emergency response team pointed to the rear of the aircraft and informed the tower that our cargo door did not appear to be fully closed. The captain parked the aircraft at the gate and the passenger were deplaned. The cargo door light was inoperative and deferred per the MEL. Apparently the door was opened after the crew performed the preflight and not closed. Since the indication system was inoperative, the crew was not aware that the door could be open. A suggestion to prevent a recurrence is to make policy that no doors are opened after a preflight inspection without notifying the crew.

Title: FLC OF AN LTT FELT A VIBRATION AND AIR PRESSURE FLUCTUATIONS AFTER TKOF AND AS A RESULT RETURNED TO LAND. A REAR BAGGAGE DOOR CAME OPEN.

Narrative: UPON ROTATION WE EXPERIENCED STRONG VIBRATION AND AIR PRESSURE FLUCTUATIONS. THE CAPT ELECTED TO RETURN FOR LNDG. WHILE I PERFORMED THE REQUIRED CHKLIST ITEMS AND COMMUNICATED WITH LAS TWR, THE CAPT EXTENDED THE GEAR AND PREPARED THE ACFT FOR A SAFE LNDG ON RWY 19L. AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND ROLLOUT, OUR FIRST INDICATION OF A DOOR PROB OCCURRED WHEN A MEMBER OF THE EMER RESPONSE TEAM POINTED TO THE REAR OF THE ACFT AND INFORMED THE TWR THAT OUR CARGO DOOR DID NOT APPEAR TO BE FULLY CLOSED. THE CAPT PARKED THE ACFT AT THE GATE AND THE PAX WERE DEPLANED. THE CARGO DOOR LIGHT WAS INOP AND DEFERRED PER THE MEL. APPARENTLY THE DOOR WAS OPENED AFTER THE CREW PERFORMED THE PREFLT AND NOT CLOSED. SINCE THE INDICATION SYS WAS INOP, THE CREW WAS NOT AWARE THAT THE DOOR COULD BE OPEN. A SUGGESTION TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE IS TO MAKE POLICY THAT NO DOORS ARE OPENED AFTER A PREFLT INSPECTION WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE CREW.
