Narrative:

Aircraft taxied in belt loader while following marshaller's instruction. Belt loader was parked on correct side of safety line. However, there were 2 other faded safety lines. Obviously, one of the other lines was the correct line. All 3 lines were painted yellow and were faded. The company had not given any instruction to their pilots about the possibility of there being more than 1 safety line. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the company repainted the appropriate ramp lines the next day after this incident.

Title: CAPT OF AN LGT STRUCK A BELT BAGGAGE LOADER WITH THE ACFT ENG POD DURING PARKING.

Narrative: ACFT TAXIED IN BELT LOADER WHILE FOLLOWING MARSHALLER'S INSTRUCTION. BELT LOADER WAS PARKED ON CORRECT SIDE OF SAFETY LINE. HOWEVER, THERE WERE 2 OTHER FADED SAFETY LINES. OBVIOUSLY, ONE OF THE OTHER LINES WAS THE CORRECT LINE. ALL 3 LINES WERE PAINTED YELLOW AND WERE FADED. THE COMPANY HAD NOT GIVEN ANY INSTRUCTION TO THEIR PLTS ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF THERE BEING MORE THAN 1 SAFETY LINE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT THE COMPANY REPAINTED THE APPROPRIATE RAMP LINES THE NEXT DAY AFTER THIS INCIDENT.
