Narrative:
Cleared to taxi to runway 7. About 1/2 way from parking area to runway we were told to follow a B737 coming from our right. Because it was an unfamiliar airport we did follow him and thought he would lead us to the runway. The ground controller was hard to understand and she was working 2 frequencys. We did not know that he was going to runway 2 and was cleared to cross runway 7 en route to runway 2. There was an aircraft in position and holding on runway 7. We followed the B737 across the runway 7 without realizing it was runway 7. The controller expected us to stop for an intersection departure on runway 7. In my opinion the cause was: 1) ground controller working more than 1 frequency. 2) ground controller's english very hard to understand. 3) crew not familiar with airport. 4) crew told to follow B737.

Title: AT FOREIGN ARPT FLC HAD DIFFICULTY UNDERSTANDING THE GND CTLR INSTRUCTIONS, BUT DID KNOW THEY WERE CLRED TO RWY 7. GND CTLR TOLD THEM TO FOLLOW ANOTHER ACFT, BUT FLC FAILED TO STOP WHEN THE OTHER ACFT WAS TAXIING TO ANOTHER RWY AND FLC FOLLOWED IT ACROSS THEIR RWY ASSIGNMENT.
