Narrative:
During pushback, I advised ground crew not to disconnect till I told them to. We had problems with APU and didn't know if engines would start. When starting right engine it took a long time because of APU. Ground crew had disconnected tow bar and headset without saying anything. Aircraft then rolled over tow bar. I asked maintenance to check and they did. We left thinking all was well. When I got to egkk I found a large cut in nosewheel. They must have overlooked it. No blowout on takeoff or landing.

Title: AFTER PUSHBACK AND ENG START, FLC HAD NO COM WITH GND PERSONNEL TO LET THE FLC KNOW WHEN TO SET BRAKES. BRAKES WEREN'T SET AND ACFT MOVED FORWARD, HITTING THE DISCONNECTED TOW BAR AND CUTTING A NOSE TIRE. THE CUT WASN'T DISCOVERED UNTIL AFTER THE FLT.
