Narrative:

I was giving a position relief briefing to a fellow controller on ZLC sector 4 at approximately XW05Z. During this briefing it was noted that the time on the vernal WX that was in the center computer was XA50Z, making it 21 hours old. Had this not been noticed until 3 hours later, the controller would have no way of knowing that the WX was 24 hours old. It is potentially hazardous to issue WX and altimeter information that is not current.
