Narrative:

After takeoff, in first turnout of traffic to intercept V56 with restr to stop at 2000 ft, I missed the level by at least 300 ft. Fay departure controller called out traffic conflict of 2 flts of 2 A10's at 2500 ft. I spotted first aircraft at 2500 ft ahead of me, #2 was below me at 2000 ft (where I should have been). I missed the leveloff because of cockpit workload, rolling out on heading, intercepting the airways, controling airspeed at 200 KTS (class D airspace), and completing after takeoff checklist. Climb rate was not above 1000 FPM. The irony of this incident is that if I would have leveled off at 2000 ft (ATC clearance), the #2 A10 and my aircraft would have been very, very close, ie, colliding.

Title: A CORP JET FLC OVERSHOT THEIR ASSIGNED ALT DURING DEP. THE CTLR ADVISED OF THE TFC CONFLICT WITH 2 A10'S IN FORMATION FLT. ONE OF THE A10'S WAS SIGHTED AT THE ALT THAT THE FLC HAD BEEN ASSIGNED.

Narrative: AFTER TKOF, IN FIRST TURNOUT OF TFC TO INTERCEPT V56 WITH RESTR TO STOP AT 2000 FT, I MISSED THE LEVEL BY AT LEAST 300 FT. FAY DEP CTLR CALLED OUT TFC CONFLICT OF 2 FLTS OF 2 A10'S AT 2500 FT. I SPOTTED FIRST ACFT AT 2500 FT AHEAD OF ME, #2 WAS BELOW ME AT 2000 FT (WHERE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN). I MISSED THE LEVELOFF BECAUSE OF COCKPIT WORKLOAD, ROLLING OUT ON HDG, INTERCEPTING THE AIRWAYS, CTLING AIRSPD AT 200 KTS (CLASS D AIRSPACE), AND COMPLETING AFTER TKOF CHKLIST. CLB RATE WAS NOT ABOVE 1000 FPM. THE IRONY OF THIS INCIDENT IS THAT IF I WOULD HAVE LEVELED OFF AT 2000 FT (ATC CLRNC), THE #2 A10 AND MY ACFT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY, VERY CLOSE, IE, COLLIDING.
