Narrative:

While during intercept to final, runway 28L sfo ILS, we were at 4700 ft approximately 12 mi final. Bay approach turned an MD11 into us. Upon getting a TCASII TA, we spotted the MD11 turning into us at a 90 degree. The TCASII then gave us an RA to 'climb, climb' as to miss the MD11. The approach controller said MD11 missed first 2 calls and then turned him into us on third call. Evasive action was performed by us with a 2000 FPM climb until conflict resolved. Supplemental information from acn 337814: approach gave 3 O'clock MD11 traffic to us. He further stated traffic would remain below us and had us in sight. Maybe all traffic callouts should be confirmed by both pilots as much as possible much like altitude is confirmed.
