Narrative:
ATC facility: havana. Location: 160 NM north gcm. Level at FL330, 160 NM northwest of gcm IMC, no WX on radar. We entered an area of turbulence and precipitation. Aircraft started a 3000 FPM climb with autoplt on altitude hold. We were in radar contact with muha. A 400 ft positive deviation occurred before the aircraft could be descended back to FL330.
