Narrative:
Given crossing restr arlin 11000 ft, 250 KTS. Told to keep speed up by center when switched to approach told to slow to 250 KTS at 12000 ft. Aircraft was high and slightly fast at arlin. This was due in part to keeping speed up and also crossing restr entered into computer was slightly off. We would have been slightly fast, anyway, but we slowed quickly after that. More attention to crossing restrs entered into computer, also earlier descent to 'pad' arrival crossing restr.

Title: MLG FLC TOLD TO KEEP UP SPD ON DSCNT, TRANSFERRED TO APCH AND TOLD TO SLOW DOWN.
Narrative: GIVEN XING RESTR ARLIN 11000 FT, 250 KTS. TOLD TO KEEP SPD UP BY CTR WHEN SWITCHED TO APCH TOLD TO SLOW TO 250 KTS AT 12000 FT. ACFT WAS HIGH AND SLIGHTLY FAST AT ARLIN. THIS WAS DUE IN PART TO KEEPING SPD UP AND ALSO XING RESTR ENTERED INTO COMPUTER WAS SLIGHTLY OFF. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN SLIGHTLY FAST, ANYWAY, BUT WE SLOWED QUICKLY AFTER THAT. MORE ATTN TO XING RESTRS ENTERED INTO COMPUTER, ALSO EARLIER DSCNT TO 'PAD' ARR XING RESTR.
