Narrative:
Training student, night lndgs in closed traffic sjc runway 29. While on 3/4 mi final for runway 29, an aircraft flew under us at high speed. Our aircraft was at approximately 400-500 ft. The other aircraft was cleared for the ILS runway 30L approach. We were cleared to land runway 29. No time to react, we just watched it climb out VFR to san carlos.
