Narrative:

Flight plan release had aircraft a displayed. Aircraft was taxied from the hangar late. The equipment was apparently changed at the hangar at the last min. We took off with paperwork reflecting a instead of B which was the equipment we were flying. Due to the aircraft arriving at the gate late from the hangar, we just assumed it was the previously assigned equipment. Dispatch was notified when I discovered the error and they were not aware of the change either. It would be nice if dispatch received a flag from maintenance when something like this occurs.
