On nov/xa/99 at approximately XA00, I was informed that I had possibly installed aft cargo rails improperly due to a misinterp of an air carrier modification. These rails are on several aircraft. The event is a question of proper hardware substitution.

Title: A FOKKER 100 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH AFT CARGO PIT RAILS INSTALLED USING UNAPPROVED FASTENER SUBSTITUTION.

Narrative: ON NOV/XA/99 AT APPROX XA00, I WAS INFORMED THAT I HAD POSSIBLY INSTALLED AFT CARGO RAILS IMPROPERLY DUE TO A MISINTERP OF AN ACR MODIFICATION. THESE RAILS ARE ON SEVERAL ACFT. THE EVENT IS A QUESTION OF PROPER HARDWARE SUBSTITUTION.
