Narrative:
Departed stl on flight with wrong aircraft logbook. Prior to departure, I had waited for maintenance to make logbook entry before reviewing aircraft history. This was done just before departure time. In the rush, I did not compare tail number with logbook. Shortly after takeoff when we realized our error.

Title: B727 FLT LEFT STL WITH THE WRONG ACFT LOGBOOK.
Narrative: DEPARTED STL ON FLT WITH WRONG ACFT LOGBOOK. PRIOR TO DEP, I HAD WAITED FOR MAINT TO MAKE LOGBOOK ENTRY BEFORE REVIEWING ACFT HISTORY. THIS WAS DONE JUST BEFORE DEP TIME. IN THE RUSH, I DID NOT COMPARE TAIL NUMBER WITH LOGBOOK. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF WHEN WE REALIZED OUR ERROR.
