Narrative:

We were being vectored for the visual approach to runway 27L at atl. We had been talking to approach on 127.9, when the controller asked if we had gotten our frequency change. We told him we had not. He told us he gave us a frequency change earlier and that someone read it back. Neither the first officer nor myself remembered getting a frequency change. If we did get one and missed it, a causal factor could be that this was our third continuous duty overnight in a row. We got about 4 1/2 hours of sleep the night before and that was interrupted in the middle of the night by a call from maintenance concerning a maintenance problem with the aircraft that arose due to flight attendant training in the aircraft in the middle of the night.
