Notified maintenance via phone, and was informed that the pre-bypass button was out from a prior landing, and no further action was needed. Upon further investigation by maintenance, the crew was informed that, according to the beech maintenance manual, regardless of the situation, the fuel filter should have been checked for a possible fuel filter bypass.
