Narrative:
After leveloff at FL220, the center controller asked if we were level. After checking the altimeter setting and setting it to 29.92, we were about 300 ft low, missing the altimeter setting. While climbing through FL180, there was a layer of clouds and we were busy selecting anti-ice protection.

Title: AN ACR LTT CAPT ADMITS THAT HE FORGOT TO SET HIS ALTIMETER THROUGH FL180.
Narrative: AFTER LEVELOFF AT FL220, THE CTR CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE LEVEL. AFTER CHKING THE ALTIMETER SETTING AND SETTING IT TO 29.92, WE WERE ABOUT 300 FT LOW, MISSING THE ALTIMETER SETTING. WHILE CLBING THROUGH FL180, THERE WAS A LAYER OF CLOUDS AND WE WERE BUSY SELECTING ANTI-ICE PROTECTION.
