Narrative:
As we were leveling at 10000 ft, we were given a speed restr and RNAV direct to a fix (wings). I thought I was also given 13000 ft and I continued the climb and asked the first officer to confirm the altitude. ATC said our clearance was only to 10000 ft. We returned to 10000 ft. I should have confirmed the new altitude prior to starting the climb. Supplemental information from acn 360311: I was distraction by trying to do 3 things at once (communicate, speed bug, execute 'direct to').
