Narrative:
Tower cleared us for takeoff. At 80 KTS 3 snowplows crossed the runway at approximately taxiway north. Tower told us to abort the takeoff. We aborted the takeoff. Abort was successful. Checklists were rerun after a slight cooling time for the brakes. The tower informed us the snowplows did not have clearance to cross the runway. We taxied up to runway 27L and departed with no further problems. The tower informed us the situation would be looked into.
