Narrative:
En route to fll at FL350. Descent clearance given to FL310. During descent, clearance was amended to descend to FL290. At FL303 ZJX asked where we were going and to climb to FL310. The first officer responded that we were cleared to FL290 and at the same time a TA was received. The controller said 'sorry.' he was very busy and erred in our assigned altitude.
