Narrative:
Aircraft was conducting parajump operations on final at fayetteville. At the time I had 4 aircraft on vectors to final at fay landing runway 4. 2 aircraft were on base turn for the approach. The jump aircraft called 1 min to jumpers away. I told the aircraft to hold his jumpers and he advised they were already out. I had to break the aircraft off the approach. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated the jump activity was previously in another area but has been in the current location between 6 to 9 months. Reporter said there is an agreement between the jump operator and the facility for the pilot to give a 1-2 min call prior to jumpers away. Reporter indicated the facility qa and the operator had a follow up meeting after the incident and resolved the problem by ensuring adherence of the advisory call and acknowledgment by ATC prior to the release of the jumpers.
