Narrative:
After takeoff orf, right main gear still indicated down and locked. Reviewed procedures in pilot handbook and continued to destination where gear operated normally. We were questioned by maintenance as to the actual position of gear which could only have been determined by use of the gear viewer. As this was not in the procedures it was not accomplished. Perhaps this should be included in recommended procedures.
