Narrative:
I was PIC of a cpr flight which departed sbn for toronto on apr/mon/97. On approach my copilot, also a captain qualified pilot, advised me that he had recently (last week) flown into toronto and that he was familiar with the profile descent into runway 24. I acknowledged him and asked him to brief me on the procedure which he did, only he briefed me on the profile descent to runway 6. This error resulted in our descending approximately 1000 ft below the proper altitude at ricki intersection. The controller pointed out our error and we immediately climbed to the proper altitude. The error was fully and completely mine. I was responsible to verify that he was briefing me for the properly chartered arrival procedure. I will make sure that in the future I always confirm the arrival.

Title: A CPR FLC IN AN LTT CROSSED RICKI INTXN APPROX 1000 FT LOW WHEN THE FO BRIEFS THE CAPT ON THE WRONG PROC WHILE APCHING YYZ.
Narrative: I WAS PIC OF A CPR FLT WHICH DEPARTED SBN FOR TORONTO ON APR/MON/97. ON APCH MY COPLT, ALSO A CAPT QUALIFIED PLT, ADVISED ME THAT HE HAD RECENTLY (LAST WK) FLOWN INTO TORONTO AND THAT HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE PROFILE DSCNT INTO RWY 24. I ACKNOWLEDGED HIM AND ASKED HIM TO BRIEF ME ON THE PROC WHICH HE DID, ONLY HE BRIEFED ME ON THE PROFILE DSCNT TO RWY 6. THIS ERROR RESULTED IN OUR DSNDING APPROX 1000 FT BELOW THE PROPER ALT AT RICKI INTXN. THE CTLR POINTED OUT OUR ERROR AND WE IMMEDIATELY CLBED TO THE PROPER ALT. THE ERROR WAS FULLY AND COMPLETELY MINE. I WAS RESPONSIBLE TO VERIFY THAT HE WAS BRIEFING ME FOR THE PROPERLY CHARTERED ARR PROC. I WILL MAKE SURE THAT IN THE FUTURE I ALWAYS CONFIRM THE ARR.
