Narrative:

We were flying the ILS 2 runway 19 at vps and were established on both localizer and GS. 1 mi outside of wygee we received a TCASII TA followed by an RA, 'climb, climb.' our climb maneuver resulted in the target passing 300 ft directly under us. Clearing traffic, we continued the approach and landing without further incident. The vps controllers assured us they had no traffic in our position. The target appeared genuine.
