Narrative:
After departing msp runway 29L, we were given 2 turns and 2 climbs. (The first to 5000 ft, the second to 6000 ft.) this was all uneventful. Some 10 mins into the flight, I recall the PNF responded to a climb to 8000 ft. The climb was initiated. We either leveled at 8000 ft, or received a climb and turn clearance before leveling at 8000 ft. In either case, the point is moot because we did not initiate the next clearance given (a climb to 17000 ft) until at or before 8000 ft.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CE560 ACFT. FLC BELIEVES DEP CTLR CLRED THEM TO A HIGHER ALT AND HAD SET THE ALT IN THE ALERT WINDOW. AFTER ANOTHER ACFT COMPLAINED THAT RPTR ACFT HAD TRIGGERED THEIR TCASII, THE DEP CTLR TOLD FLC THAT THEY HAD NOT BEEN CLRED TO CLB.
Narrative: AFTER DEPARTING MSP RWY 29L, WE WERE GIVEN 2 TURNS AND 2 CLBS. (THE FIRST TO 5000 FT, THE SECOND TO 6000 FT.) THIS WAS ALL UNEVENTFUL. SOME 10 MINS INTO THE FLT, I RECALL THE PNF RESPONDED TO A CLB TO 8000 FT. THE CLB WAS INITIATED. WE EITHER LEVELED AT 8000 FT, OR RECEIVED A CLB AND TURN CLRNC BEFORE LEVELING AT 8000 FT. IN EITHER CASE, THE POINT IS MOOT BECAUSE WE DID NOT INITIATE THE NEXT CLRNC GIVEN (A CLB TO 17000 FT) UNTIL AT OR BEFORE 8000 FT.
