Narrative:
During a routine training flight on may/xx/97, at approximately XX20 local time, I inadvertently flew over a 100 hour inspection and a few airworthiness directives by 1.8 hours. As I always do before a flight, I did check when the required inspections were due. The 100 hour and 4 airworthiness directives were due at 3128.5 tach time. Mistakenly, I read that as 3182.5 tach and thought I was ok. My ending tach time after the flight was 3130.3. I became aware of the situation the following day when I was reprimanded by the chief pilot and mechanic. In retrospect, I should have looked more closely at those times to have prevented myself from transposing the numbers -- a mistake I will not do again.

Title: INSTRUCTOR, AND TRAINEE, OF AN SMA SEL TRAINING ACFT EXCEEDED THE 100 HR ACFT INSPECTION, AND AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES (AD), DUE TO MISREADING THE 'TACH TIME' INSPECTION WAS DUE.
