Narrative:

While doing the beverage service, flight attendant #2 informed me that the passenger seated in row xx had taken a tomato juice from the aft galley and she'd seen her do so. When I got to the row and asked her and her daughter what they'd like to drink, her daughter wanted 2 ginger ales and she wanted another tomato juice. I told the daughter that once she'd finished the first ginger ale I'd be happy to get her another one. When I opened the can and handed it to her she told me she wanted it unopened. I explained it is to be consumed on the aircraft. Her mom told me I opened it wrong, 'she's at that age, she wants it a certain way.' I apologized. Then I very politely asked her in the future if she'd wait till we got to her for a beverage, rather than helping herself in the galley. She said she was thirsty. I said we don't want you to get hurt in the galley. She didn't let that be the end, then said what is the big deal. I explained that it is company property and that if we wanted to get technical it was stealing from the company. She replied, 'oh my god, I want your name.' I said no problem. I'll be happy to give you my name once I'm done with the service, and that I'd need to get her name also for a report. She became mad and said 'what kind of report?' I said situation with a passenger. She said 'over stealing a tomato juice?' I replied yes, and mentioned that we were required to write a report. I also let her know that for stealing we could have the auths meet the flight. She then became very loud. I walked away to let the #1 and captain know what was going on. On my way back I noticed row xx-D/east/F were missed. The lady then wanted to talk to the captain. I explained he was flying the airplane and she could talk to him once we landed. I went to get row xx's drinks. When I returned, she said to passenger seated in row ww-a/B 'it's time I kick her *&^%$# ass' and proceeded to chase me to the aft cabin where flight attendant #2 asked the lady to take her seat and reinforced the situation with stealing. The lady wanted to talk to the captain or my supervisor. We called #1. At that time she went back to her seat. I proceeded up the aisle to pick up at which time at about row zz she stood up, told her daughter to 'give it to me.' her daughter at the same time was telling her mom to stop it and be quiet. At this time I said excuse me to her in the aisle to get by. She blocked the aisle, put her hand on me and pushed me back at the same time I stepped back having an insert in my hands. She threw the stolen tomato juice at me. It landed in the insert. As I proceeded to turn around the lady in row yy said 'I'm your witness.' she then wrote a letter and gave it to me. I proceeded to tell the captain, he notified dispatch for the auths to meet the flight. She apparently didn't understand that the big problem wasn't she had stolen the soda -- it was she had threatened me both physically and verbally. When the flight diverted to fll it was due to WX in pbi. When the flight landed, local police met the flight. I gave the original report and letter from a witness to the agent which met the flight and made copies. The police took the woman into custody for their own reasons, she was not cooperating with the police. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states the FAA has called her apparently getting information on the incident from company. Other than that, she has heard nothing. Company security is supposedly following up. The insert mentioned in the narrative is one of the drawers from the cart which hold soda cans. Callback conversation with reporter acn 375222 revealed the following information: reporter states that the passenger was arrested and did go to jail, probably due to her treatment of the police themselves. Beyond that, she has no information.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING UNRULY PAX WHO STOLE A TOMATO JUICE FROM THE GALLEY, ARGUED WITH FLT ATTENDANT ABOUT IT AND THEN THREW THE CAN AT THE FLT ATTENDANT. OTHER PAX STEPPED FORWARD TO ACT AS WITNESS TO THE EVENT. AUTHS WERE REQUESTED AND PAX ARRESTED.

Narrative: WHILE DOING THE BEVERAGE SVC, FLT ATTENDANT #2 INFORMED ME THAT THE PAX SEATED IN ROW XX HAD TAKEN A TOMATO JUICE FROM THE AFT GALLEY AND SHE'D SEEN HER DO SO. WHEN I GOT TO THE ROW AND ASKED HER AND HER DAUGHTER WHAT THEY'D LIKE TO DRINK, HER DAUGHTER WANTED 2 GINGER ALES AND SHE WANTED ANOTHER TOMATO JUICE. I TOLD THE DAUGHTER THAT ONCE SHE'D FINISHED THE FIRST GINGER ALE I'D BE HAPPY TO GET HER ANOTHER ONE. WHEN I OPENED THE CAN AND HANDED IT TO HER SHE TOLD ME SHE WANTED IT UNOPENED. I EXPLAINED IT IS TO BE CONSUMED ON THE ACFT. HER MOM TOLD ME I OPENED IT WRONG, 'SHE'S AT THAT AGE, SHE WANTS IT A CERTAIN WAY.' I APOLOGIZED. THEN I VERY POLITELY ASKED HER IN THE FUTURE IF SHE'D WAIT TILL WE GOT TO HER FOR A BEVERAGE, RATHER THAN HELPING HERSELF IN THE GALLEY. SHE SAID SHE WAS THIRSTY. I SAID WE DON'T WANT YOU TO GET HURT IN THE GALLEY. SHE DIDN'T LET THAT BE THE END, THEN SAID WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL. I EXPLAINED THAT IT IS COMPANY PROPERTY AND THAT IF WE WANTED TO GET TECHNICAL IT WAS STEALING FROM THE COMPANY. SHE REPLIED, 'OH MY GOD, I WANT YOUR NAME.' I SAID NO PROB. I'LL BE HAPPY TO GIVE YOU MY NAME ONCE I'M DONE WITH THE SVC, AND THAT I'D NEED TO GET HER NAME ALSO FOR A RPT. SHE BECAME MAD AND SAID 'WHAT KIND OF RPT?' I SAID SITUATION WITH A PAX. SHE SAID 'OVER STEALING A TOMATO JUICE?' I REPLIED YES, AND MENTIONED THAT WE WERE REQUIRED TO WRITE A RPT. I ALSO LET HER KNOW THAT FOR STEALING WE COULD HAVE THE AUTHS MEET THE FLT. SHE THEN BECAME VERY LOUD. I WALKED AWAY TO LET THE #1 AND CAPT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. ON MY WAY BACK I NOTICED ROW XX-D/E/F WERE MISSED. THE LADY THEN WANTED TO TALK TO THE CAPT. I EXPLAINED HE WAS FLYING THE AIRPLANE AND SHE COULD TALK TO HIM ONCE WE LANDED. I WENT TO GET ROW XX'S DRINKS. WHEN I RETURNED, SHE SAID TO PAX SEATED IN ROW WW-A/B 'IT'S TIME I KICK HER *&^%$# ASS' AND PROCEEDED TO CHASE ME TO THE AFT CABIN WHERE FLT ATTENDANT #2 ASKED THE LADY TO TAKE HER SEAT AND REINFORCED THE SITUATION WITH STEALING. THE LADY WANTED TO TALK TO THE CAPT OR MY SUPVR. WE CALLED #1. AT THAT TIME SHE WENT BACK TO HER SEAT. I PROCEEDED UP THE AISLE TO PICK UP AT WHICH TIME AT ABOUT ROW ZZ SHE STOOD UP, TOLD HER DAUGHTER TO 'GIVE IT TO ME.' HER DAUGHTER AT THE SAME TIME WAS TELLING HER MOM TO STOP IT AND BE QUIET. AT THIS TIME I SAID EXCUSE ME TO HER IN THE AISLE TO GET BY. SHE BLOCKED THE AISLE, PUT HER HAND ON ME AND PUSHED ME BACK AT THE SAME TIME I STEPPED BACK HAVING AN INSERT IN MY HANDS. SHE THREW THE STOLEN TOMATO JUICE AT ME. IT LANDED IN THE INSERT. AS I PROCEEDED TO TURN AROUND THE LADY IN ROW YY SAID 'I'M YOUR WITNESS.' SHE THEN WROTE A LETTER AND GAVE IT TO ME. I PROCEEDED TO TELL THE CAPT, HE NOTIFIED DISPATCH FOR THE AUTHS TO MEET THE FLT. SHE APPARENTLY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT THE BIG PROB WASN'T SHE HAD STOLEN THE SODA -- IT WAS SHE HAD THREATENED ME BOTH PHYSICALLY AND VERBALLY. WHEN THE FLT DIVERTED TO FLL IT WAS DUE TO WX IN PBI. WHEN THE FLT LANDED, LCL POLICE MET THE FLT. I GAVE THE ORIGINAL RPT AND LETTER FROM A WITNESS TO THE AGENT WHICH MET THE FLT AND MADE COPIES. THE POLICE TOOK THE WOMAN INTO CUSTODY FOR THEIR OWN REASONS, SHE WAS NOT COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THE FAA HAS CALLED HER APPARENTLY GETTING INFO ON THE INCIDENT FROM COMPANY. OTHER THAN THAT, SHE HAS HEARD NOTHING. COMPANY SECURITY IS SUPPOSEDLY FOLLOWING UP. THE INSERT MENTIONED IN THE NARRATIVE IS ONE OF THE DRAWERS FROM THE CART WHICH HOLD SODA CANS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR ACN 375222 REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE PAX WAS ARRESTED AND DID GO TO JAIL, PROBABLY DUE TO HER TREATMENT OF THE POLICE THEMSELVES. BEYOND THAT, SHE HAS NO INFO.
