Narrative:
ATC facility: ZKC. Location: ulman intersection. Approaching ulman intersection from eos, it is somewhat less than convenient to find the right navigation chart to find that the airway leading to bdf VOR initially tracks outbound from sgf at a distance. With that said, the captain was using heading select mode tracking out to ulman from eos VOR. About the time we hit the DME for ulman intersection off sgf, I noticed an off flag on the captain's VOR tuned to eos. Just then, ZKC gave us a short vector not more than 5 degrees for traffic. There was some uncertainty whether we had been vectored because of possibly not being on centerline for the airway. There was no traffic on the TCASII the entire vector.

Title: FLC OF S80 HAS NAV FLAG TO 'OFF' JUST AS THEY ARE ABOUT TO ARRIVE AT AN INTXN. ATC GIVES A VECTOR TO GET THEM BACK ON COURSE.

JUST THEN, ZKC GAVE US A SHORT VECTOR NOT MORE THAN 5 DEGS FOR TFC. THERE WAS SOME UNCERTAINTY WHETHER WE HAD BEEN VECTORED BECAUSE OF POSSIBLY NOT BEING ON CTRLINE FOR THE AIRWAY. THERE WAS NO TFC ON THE TCASII THE ENTIRE VECTOR.
