Narrative:

We were on tiptoe runway 28L sfo approach, told to maintain visual separation with a B767, 1 O'clock, 3 mi. Told ATC (bay) that we would not be able to stay behind the B767. Bay said no problem 'it looks like it's going to work.' called sfo tower and told them unable to continue to maintain visual separation. They asked B767 if they had us in sight -- they did. Tower still issued us a go around. No more passing for me. Next time, it's ATC's problem.
