Narrative:
Location: A300. Northbound on A300 at FL390 between huber and downt was unable to obtain a clearance to deviate for thunderstorms on the airway. Deviated 14.5 mi east to avoid the WX while executing my captain's emergency authority/authorized. Made appropriate calls, returned to route about downt.
