Narrative:
Directed to cross airport at midfield, turn tight downwind, cleared to land on runway 26R. As descending to pattern, acknowledged jet on wide downwind. Told to turn tight base, then directed to land on runway 26L. Wing in tight turn obscured vision of airport layout. Recognized runway 26L and proceeded to land -- only it wasn't runway 26L -- a construction site for a new taxiway. Pretty rough.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLT OF A C182R INADVERTENTLY LANDED ON A TXWY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THE RPTR MISTOOK THE TXWY FOR THE L PARALLEL RWY DUE TO THE ACFT'S WING DOWN IN THE LOW ALT TURN WHICH OBSTRUCTED THE ARPT RWY LAYOUT.
