Narrative:
During climb out from oak, #2 engine driven pump (B system) failed with no loss of fluid. Checklists were completed and we continued to sna. Approaching downwind at sna approximately 30 mins later hydraulic quantity in 'B' system decreased to zero. Accomplished 'B' system hydraulic failure checklist and diverted to lax so as to utilize longer runway.
