Narrative:

Tus approach, FL100. Tus 071 degree radial, 12 DME. Either misread clearance or misset altitude alert. Flight was VFR. No conflicts or terrain problems. Supplemental information from acn 397843: we thought we were cleared to 10000 ft by tus TRACON. Upon leveloff they informed us that we were below MVA. We climbed back up to 10700 ft per their instructions. WX was clear and there were no conflicts. TRACON informed me by phone later that the first officer had read back 11000 ft. Our mistake.
