Narrative:
The ARTS froze up for no apparent reason. Luckily the airways facilities people were still in the facility and were able to get it up and running within 15 mins. The airways facilities people said the FAA has had problems with this particular version freezing up. We got lucky and we were not busy with several planes on the scope.

Title: ARTS II RADAR EQUIP BECAME UNUSABLE FOR APPROX 15 MINS BEFORE IT WAS REPAIRED. THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO TFC. RPTR CLAIMS THAT THE FAA HAS HAD PROBS WITH THIS PARTICULAR VERSION OF ARTS II FREEZING UP.
Narrative: THE ARTS FROZE UP FOR NO APPARENT REASON. LUCKILY THE AIRWAYS FACILITIES PEOPLE WERE STILL IN THE FACILITY AND WERE ABLE TO GET IT UP AND RUNNING WITHIN 15 MINS. THE AIRWAYS FACILITIES PEOPLE SAID THE FAA HAS HAD PROBS WITH THIS PARTICULAR VERSION FREEZING UP. WE GOT LUCKY AND WE WERE NOT BUSY WITH SEVERAL PLANES ON THE SCOPE.
