Narrative:
On the landing rollout at phf the tower informed us that there was smoke coming from the left engine. I visually confirmed that this was correct. The first officer and I performed the standard air carrier evacuate/evacuation procedures and evacuate/evacuationed the passenger through the right overwing exit. In addition, the 2 left fire bottles were discharged into the left engine. The passenger were taken to the terminal with no further incident. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that during the landing rollout a passenger shouted something that was not understood and a few moments later the tower advised the crew of smoke from the left engine nacelle. The reporter said 2 fire bottles were used and evacuate/evacuation procedures begun. Later a mechanic was called to investigate the source of the smoke and nothing was found and report cleared. During the landing rollout no fire or overheat warning was displayed.

Title: A BA3100 ON LNDG ROLLOUT DECLARED AN EMER AND EVACED THE ACFT DUE TO SMOKE FROM #1 ENG NACELLE.
Narrative: ON THE LNDG ROLLOUT AT PHF THE TWR INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE L ENG. I VISUALLY CONFIRMED THAT THIS WAS CORRECT. THE FO AND I PERFORMED THE STANDARD ACR EVAC PROCS AND EVACED THE PAX THROUGH THE R OVERWING EXIT. IN ADDITION, THE 2 L FIRE BOTTLES WERE DISCHARGED INTO THE L ENG. THE PAX WERE TAKEN TO THE TERMINAL WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT DURING THE LNDG ROLLOUT A PAX SHOUTED SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT UNDERSTOOD AND A FEW MOMENTS LATER THE TWR ADVISED THE CREW OF SMOKE FROM THE L ENG NACELLE. THE RPTR SAID 2 FIRE BOTTLES WERE USED AND EVAC PROCS BEGUN. LATER A MECH WAS CALLED TO INVESTIGATE THE SOURCE OF THE SMOKE AND NOTHING WAS FOUND AND RPT CLRED. DURING THE LNDG ROLLOUT NO FIRE OR OVERHEAT WARNING WAS DISPLAYED.
