Narrative:
Location: along shoreline for right base for runway 34 cleared for the visual approach by ny to maintain at least 2000 ft until final approach course and over the shoreline inbound. The controller called out traffic at 12 O'clock position and our altitude. We picked him up on TCASII but could not see the traffic visually but he was 100 ft below and within 1 mi on TCASII. We received a TA but no RA and initiated a climb. The controller said he was at 12 O'clock position and less than 1 mi. Continued a climb to 3500 ft which gave us a 500 ft separation. Then the controller asked us to maintain 3000 ft. We said we were at 3500 ft. Then he had us climb to 4000 ft. Then we were vectored back for a visual to runway 34. The controller asked the light aircraft for its tail number and informed him he had violated class B airspace.

Title: AN SMA ACFT INVADES THE CLASS B NEAR HPN AND CREATES A POTENTIAL CONFLICT FOR AN ARR FK100. CTLR ASKS FOR SMA'S TAIL NUMBER AFTER FK100 CREW CLBS ABOVE SMA'S ALT.
