Captain flying. Given crossing at 15 mi south of ffu VOR at 230 KTS, 15000 ft. Entered 15 mi north ffu incorrectly. Center gives a 360 degree turn at approximately ffu 172 degrees 15 mi for descent. No conflict occurred. Completion of flight, no further incident.

Title: AN ACR B737 FLC FAILED TO CROSS 15 NM S OF A VOR AT THE ASSIGNED ALT. THE FLC HAD MISTAKENLY ENTERED A POS 15 MI N OF THE VOR AS THE FMC XING POINT.
Narrative: CAPT FLYING. GIVEN XING AT 15 MI S OF FFU VOR AT 230 KTS, 15000 FT. ENTERED 15 MI N FFU INCORRECTLY. CTR GIVES A 360 DEG TURN AT APPROX FFU 172 DEGS 15 MI FOR DSCNT. NO CONFLICT OCCURRED. COMPLETION OF FLT, NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
