Narrative:

I should have stopped and asked for further taxi instructions. Ground controller should have given me detailed taxi instructions and observed my holding on taxiway B at taxiway K. Occurrence: I received clearance from clearance delivery to expect runway 25. I received a clearance to taxi to runway 25 from ground control. On taxiing out from an FBO on the southeast end of sba, I entered taxiway B and taxied to the cones closing taxiway B at taxiway K. Since I had clearance to runway 25, I knew that this would include crossing runways, etc, but since runway 15L was also an active runway I concluded that I was to taxi via taxiway K and across the ramp to taxiway a to arrive at the approach end of runway 25. While in the ramp area, ground control stated that I had entered a restr area and then paused and stated disregard and I continued my taxiing to taxiway a and to runway 25. At no time was anyone endangered and I thought that the restr area was for vehicles and people and did not pertain to taxiing of aircraft.

Narrative: I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AND ASKED FOR FURTHER TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. GND CTLR SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME DETAILED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND OBSERVED MY HOLDING ON TXWY B AT TXWY K. OCCURRENCE: I RECEIVED CLRNC FROM CLRNC DELIVERY TO EXPECT RWY 25. I RECEIVED A CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 25 FROM GND CTL. ON TAXIING OUT FROM AN FBO ON THE SE END OF SBA, I ENTERED TXWY B AND TAXIED TO THE CONES CLOSING TXWY B AT TXWY K. SINCE I HAD CLRNC TO RWY 25, I KNEW THAT THIS WOULD INCLUDE XING RWYS, ETC, BUT SINCE RWY 15L WAS ALSO AN ACTIVE RWY I CONCLUDED THAT I WAS TO TAXI VIA TXWY K AND ACROSS THE RAMP TO TXWY A TO ARRIVE AT THE APCH END OF RWY 25. WHILE IN THE RAMP AREA, GND CTL STATED THAT I HAD ENTERED A RESTR AREA AND THEN PAUSED AND STATED DISREGARD AND I CONTINUED MY TAXIING TO TXWY A AND TO RWY 25. AT NO TIME WAS ANYONE ENDANGERED AND I THOUGHT THAT THE RESTR AREA WAS FOR VEHICLES AND PEOPLE AND DID NOT PERTAIN TO TAXIING OF ACFT.
