Narrative:
My company has flight plans filed with ATC. At the gate I forgot to get my IFR clearance. Both ground and tower did not catch the mistake, and departure control asked if we had a certain squawk in the transponder. It was at that time I remembered I did not get the clearance. We verified our routing and continued on.
