Narrative:
At FL230 #3 flight attendant called about strange noise in aft left cabin. Sent first officer to investigate. Heard noise also. Called to reduce left throttle. Left hydraulic pressure low light came on and stayed on regardless of throttle position. Completed appropriate checklist. Light went out. Hydraulic quantity dropped 2 quarts. No further loss noted. Landed uneventfully. Had crash crew inspect aircraft for leaks. None noted. Taxied to gate normal.

Title: MD80. CABIN ATTENDANT CALLED COCKPIT TO RPT A STRANGE NOISE IN REAR OF CABIN. FO INVESTIGATED AND FOUND NOISE CHANGED WHEN #1 THROTTLE WAS MOVED. AT THIS POINT #1 HYD LOW PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AND QUANTITY WENT TO ZERO.
Narrative: AT FL230 #3 FLT ATTENDANT CALLED ABOUT STRANGE NOISE IN AFT L CABIN. SENT FO TO INVESTIGATE. HEARD NOISE ALSO. CALLED TO REDUCE L THROTTLE. L HYD PRESSURE LOW LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON REGARDLESS OF THROTTLE POS. COMPLETED APPROPRIATE CHKLIST. LIGHT WENT OUT. HYD QUANTITY DROPPED 2 QUARTS. NO FURTHER LOSS NOTED. LANDED UNEVENTFULLY.
