Narrative:
En route dtw to fra, lost hydraulic quantity in system #1. System #3 overheated. Shut system #3 down, followed dual hydraulic failure procedures. Declared emergency and diverted to bos. System #3 cooled prior to approach. Landing in bos normal. On taxi in to gate, system #3 overheated again and was shut off. Company procedures followed, no conflicts, no injuries. This report filed because emergency was declared.

Title: A DC10-40 FLC DIVERTS TO BOS AFTER LOSING HYD FLUID IN SYS #1 AND EXPERIENCING A HYD SYS #3 OVERHEAT.
Narrative: ENRTE DTW TO FRA, LOST HYD QUANTITY IN SYS #1. SYS #3 OVERHEATED. SHUT SYS #3 DOWN, FOLLOWED DUAL HYD FAILURE PROCS. DECLARED EMER AND DIVERTED TO BOS. SYS #3 COOLED PRIOR TO APCH. LNDG IN BOS NORMAL. ON TAXI IN TO GATE, SYS #3 OVERHEATED AGAIN AND WAS SHUT OFF. COMPANY PROCS FOLLOWED, NO CONFLICTS, NO INJURIES. THIS RPT FILED BECAUSE EMER WAS DECLARED.
