Narrative:
We taxied onto an active runway from a non active runway due to lack of situational awareness and no runway markings showing where to stop. No near misses or gars occurred. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that they were taxiing on runway 6, inactive runway, and onto runway 12L. An aircraft was making an intersection takeoff on runway 12L further down the runway from their position and thus did not create any potential conflict. Reporter checked the area and found that there are hold lines, but they are very difficult to see and need repainting.
