Narrative:
Cleared for visual approach runway 35R at st petersburg, fl. WX good/visibility good, everything normal. Cleared to land. At about 1000 ft AGL to 1500 ft AGL, our TCASII announced 'traffic' several times. We saw no aircraft. Several seconds later, the TCASII announced 'climb, climb.' we still saw no aircraft, but did a visual climbing go around. Came back around for a visual approach and landing with no problem.
