Narrative:
Reporter and a student were practicing lndgs in closed pattern. Just after turning from crosswind to downwind, the other aircraft passed over us to the downwind. We were slightly below pattern altitude and the other airplane was slightly above, or a collision would have been very likely. No evasive action was taken since we were clear by the time we saw the other plane.

Title: A C210 OVERTAKES A C172 IN THE TFC PATTERN AT EVY, DE. NMAC OCCURS AS ACFT Y DOES NOT SEE THE OVERTAKEN ACFT X, WHO HAD JUST TURNED XWIND TO DOWNWIND.
Narrative: RPTR AND A STUDENT WERE PRACTICING LNDGS IN CLOSED PATTERN. JUST AFTER TURNING FROM XWIND TO DOWNWIND, THE OTHER ACFT PASSED OVER US TO THE DOWNWIND. WE WERE SLIGHTLY BELOW PATTERN ALT AND THE OTHER AIRPLANE WAS SLIGHTLY ABOVE, OR A COLLISION WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY LIKELY. NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN SINCE WE WERE CLR BY THE TIME WE SAW THE OTHER PLANE.
