Narrative:
During approach into ojc everything was going normally. I was on speed, but touched down a little hard on the main wheels (C172). We had a small bounce that was not unusual, but it continued to bounce a second time, a third, a fourth. I keep trying to keep the nose from touching (power was at idle). On about the fifth oscillation, the nosewheel touched first and the airplane stopped bouncing. I taxied off the runway and noticed I had blown the nosewheel tire. Contributing factors are: not properly trained on bad landing gars, lack of flight in past 5 months.
