Narrative:
Tracking outbound on assigned/cleared SID from rdu packk 4 departure (PACK4.rdu). Turned out 350 degrees for about 5 mi before catching mistake. (Should have been out 278 degrees to azella.) no conflicts. PIC flying, first officer doing PA to passenger. Turned immediately back to 278 degree radial. By then ATC saw it and gave us radar vector down line. No conflict.

Title: FLC IN DC9 DEPARTED RDU ON SID. PF TURNED R, INCORRECTLY, TO A HDG OF 350 DEGS INSTEAD OF 278 DEGS AS CALLED FOR IN THE SID.
Narrative: TRACKING OUTBOUND ON ASSIGNED/CLRED SID FROM RDU PACKK 4 DEP (PACK4.RDU). TURNED OUT 350 DEGS FOR ABOUT 5 MI BEFORE CATCHING MISTAKE. (SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT 278 DEGS TO AZELLA.) NO CONFLICTS. PIC FLYING, FO DOING PA TO PAX. TURNED IMMEDIATELY BACK TO 278 DEG RADIAL. BY THEN ATC SAW IT AND GAVE US RADAR VECTOR DOWN LINE. NO CONFLICT.
